Sonoma Business Spotlight: Beltane Ranch

Beltane Ranch is a place near and dear to our hearts here at A Savvy Lifestyle, and this Sonoma Business Spotlight is a bittersweet one. Beltane Ranch was one of the areas affected by the wild fire early on as it is located in Kenwood. Lauren Krause and her family live on the property that has been in their possession for over a century. We spoke with Lauren, in between the mounds of paperwork she is currently swimming in, to talk to her about how it all went down. Their story began early in that first morning and continued on through the week- dousing buildings, digging fire walls, assisting first responders in any way that they could to save the ranch. Thanks to the family's hard work, and the incredible heroism of our local first responders, most of the beautiful ranch is still standing. Beltane Ranch was built in 1892 and the historic B&B was one of the structures that survived the blaze. Most of the buildings they lost were on the perimeter of the property, and they were able to save all their animals (including their bees), their iconic gardens, and the majority of their sprawling oak trees.

We are simply overjoyed that the beauty and history at Beltane Ranch was able to be preserved through such a horrific event. Despite the devastating losses we are sure that wine country will grow to be even more beautiful than it was before the fires. We couldn't help but share a few stunning images from weddings designed by A Savvy Event at one of our favorite properties.

We hope that these photographs provide a source of hope and inspiration to those rebuilding in the coming months. Beltane Ranch simply cannot wait to welcome back visitors and celebrations to the property, and we here at A Savvy Lifestyle and A Savvy Event can't wait either. The historic property has seen generations of families come to celebrate life's most important moments and it has grown to hold a special place in the hearts of so many people. We look forward to a long partnership ahead as we rebuild together. #SonomaStrong
