The Tuesday Market is upbeat, fast paced, and really geared towards socializing and enjoying the Sonoma square, whereas Friday Market is focused primarily on grocery shopping, light eating, and enjoying the diverse farmers from the area.
The market was founded in 1985 and has abided by its' mission to provide a venue for certified farmers to market diverse high quality agricultural products to the local community. You will find everything from fresh cut flowers and organic produce, to freshly baked goods and handcrafted products.
The low-key environment of Friday Market is perfect for bringing the kids along. Many of the vendors get to know their patrons on a first name basis - usually they are the farmer, harvester, and face of the business. Kelly's daughter, Kate, came along with us to the market, she had a wonderful time picking out ingredients for a pizza night as well as a tomato plant for the backyard.
Friday Market is the perfect way to spend your morning with the kids, or with a girlfriend. Munch on local fare, shop handmade goods, and enjoy fresh produce. Open year round 9:00am-12:30pm, located at the Arnold Field Parking Lot.
