Editor's Picks: Must Have Athleisure Pieces with Emily Belle

There are a million and one athletic wear and altheisure brands out there these days, and it can be a bit overwhelming to choose at times so our editor, Emily Belle, is bringing you her picks and "must have" athleisure pieces. Emily, a self proclaimed fitness junkie, would live in her athleisure 24/7 if she could. Previously an instructor at Pure Barre, Emily has tried and tested out just about every work out method you can imagine, and has more leggings than she can count. Here are her top picks for those items that are worth every pretty penny.

A "Kit" from Outdoor Voices

Perhaps one of the newest and fastest growing athleisure brands out there, Outdoor Voices is one of my favorites! Their clothes are both functional and comfortable and they have options for activities ranging from cross training to yoga to walking the dog. The advantage to buying a kit is that you actually save money! You receive a top and a bottom of your choice in style and color. They range from $100- $120 with an average savings of $20. Their pieces are intended to be mixed and matched for a range of options and styles.

Define Jacket from Lululemon

If you haven't heard of Lululemon yet, I'm honestly not sure what rock you've been living under. All jokes aside, Lulu really started the athleisure trend way back when, and began to make work out clothes that were as fashionable as they were functional. While I have drawers (no joke) of leggings from Lululemon, I have to say that my favorite item I own from there is actually a jacket. The define jacket from Lululemon comes in every color you can imagine, and is sure to become a staple of your activewear wardrobe.

Moto Leggings from Alo Yoga

Alo Yoga is a brand known for altheisure that looks like it could be worn as regular clothing. Seriously, every time I buy a pair of their leggings I think about wearing them with plenty of outfits that have nothing to do with going to the gym. It is a higher pricepoint, similar to the likes of Lululemon, but the quality and unique style of every single one of their pieces is worth it. If I had to pick just one item I would go with the moto leggings- they are versatile, comfortable, and functional in the gym or studio. Oh and they are stylish as all get out, and a great place to start what is sure to be an addiction to the Alo brand.

"Do All Things With Love" Tank from Spiritual Gangster

Spiritual Gangster has quickly become one of my favorite athleisure brands because of their graphic-tee style tanks and shirts. They make everything from loungewear to leggings to swim suits- all with the message of love and strength. My current favorite is the "Do All Things With Love" Studio Tank, because of the cut out detail in the back which is perfect for showing off a unique sports bra or wearing with a bralette for a comfy-casual look.
