The Ultimate Wedding Welcome Bag: Bon Appétit Box

I know the pain of deciding on the perfect wedding welcome bag - trust me. I spent hours - scratch that - days, trying to decide what to include in our welcome baskets. We ultimately decided on some chocolate, Perrier, blah, blah, blah - but I can tell you this: even though we attempted to stay below $30 a bag, I guarantee you, we went over.

The truth of the matter is that DIY isn't always the least expensive option. The moment I found out about Bon Appétit Box, I kicked myself for not discovering them sooner because A) Everyone loves French treats, and B) it's the perfect wedding welcome bag (well - 'box', but let's not get picky here).

Bon Appétit Box was founded by high school sweethearts Zoé & Bertrand, who not only spent business school together, but also developed their love of food & travel together. The duo relocated from Montpellier in the South of France to San Francisco, where they started their company.

They aim to deliver exclusive gourmet food selections from France right to your doorstep in a thoughtfully curated box. The Bon Appétit Box is the perfect way to share the French Art de Vivre with friends and family; each box pairs perfectly with champagne & wine, and is a unique gift to welcome guests to your special celebration.

Ranging from $30-$75, each box contains deliberately sourced artisan products that represent the long standing traditional family recipes of the French. When you open your box, you are immediately transported on a journey to France. Perhaps I am a bit biased, but with my family being from France, the Bon Appétit Box left me reminiscing of my travels in the European country.

It is true that the French hold traditions near and dear to their hearts (simply watch my wedding video!). The duck rillettes included in the Petite Apéritif Box reminded me of visiting my great aunt in Geneva - who served the treat traditionally with Cornichon, just as Bon Appétit Box does. Each item in my box was very authentic to that of the French - of course, because Zoé & Bertrand are quite selective over the products they include in their boxes.

I am dying to give one of their breakfast boxes a try, which I think would serve as the absolute perfect gift box for out of town guests. You can trust the fact that each product included in your Bon Appétit Box is authentic to France, and will delight and surprise your guests (isn't that our motto here at A Savvy Lifestyle?). Whether you're in the market for the perfect Christmas gift, or for traveling wedding guests, Bon Appétit Boxes will not disappoint.
