The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival began in 1897 and has been celebrating all that Sonoma represents since then. California's oldest festival, it benefits local non-profits and community projects. From harvest, the community, and everything in between, the festival is a Sonoma tradition that is not to be missed.
The three-day long festivities begin with the Friday night gala full of great wine, food, and dancing. Tickets to the gala are still available and can be purchased here! The fun continues throughout the weekend with wine stomping, live music, art exhibits, and much more!
Spend Saturday morning touring the beauty of Sonoma's streets on foot by participating in the 12K or 5K run. The race is open to families, individuals, and groups of all ages, and you can sign up for the run at a discounted price through the Friday night gala.
If running isn't your thing, the grape stomp is sure to be a hit. Join other families and groups during this fun event. Afterwards, grab some local food & head to the beer garden before the "Get Your Glow On" parade begins!
If you'd rather sit back and enjoy the festival without signing up for any events, the live music scheduled for the weekend is completely free! Grab a blanket and some picnic supplies (Chevoo is a must!) and head to the main stage behind the City Hall. Think Tuesday Market, but bigger and better!
Whether you're new to Sonoma, just visiting, or born and raised, you will enjoy all of the fun that the Valley of the Moon Festival brings, while supporting the local non-profits and community projects in the area!
