Awhile back Kelly and I had the pleasure of taking an art class with Alex Cole hosted by G3 - a series of conferences and workshops helping women leverage their best selves from the inside out.
I can't wait to share more about G3 with all of you, but today I want to share a little bit about our evening with Alex!
Alex is an amazing artist based in Sonoma, she taught us how to create beautiful floral paintings. The night was focused on a community of women coming together to enjoy light-hearted conversation and bond over learning a new skill.
There's something amazing about forcing yourself to learn something entirely new that reignites creativity in your own field. I highly suggest it!
Alex taught, while we sipped wine and painted. At the end of the evening we all felt like old friends, but it was so neat to see everyone's pieces placed next to one another - it showed the difference in everyone's creativity. We were all taught the same way, given the same supplies, but each produced entirely different pieces of artwork.
The G3 Wisdom, Women, and Wine series dates can be found on our events calendar along with other classes hosted by Alex Cole and other wonderful creative business owners in wine country!

Cinco de Mayo is the perfect excuse to branch out from your cooking routine and try something new, like this spicy homemade salsa. We collaborated with food blogger Robin Terry of CaliGirl Cooking. Jamie of A Savvy Event planned her wedding and Robin is a close friend to several ladies on the Savvy team, so we knew she was the one to call when we needed an inspiring recipe for Cinco de Mayo.
