The Sonoma County Museum's Día de los Muertos exhibition is a visual feast that combines the traditional with the modern. This year the museum is featuring ofrendas (altars) in the styles of Oaxaca and Michoacán; artwork by Peter Perez, Martín Zúñiga, Mario Uribe, and Rubén Guzmán; and honoring 110 years of Frida Kahlo (created by Liz Camino-Byers). Included in the exhibition will be juried artwork by 5th-12th grade students from the Memory Portrait competition in partnership with Windsor Muertos. The artwork by Peter Perez includes the combined efforts of students from Community Action Partnership and museum volunteers. The exhibition will run October 4 through November 30, 2017. Light appetizers and cash bar.
